11:37 am - Finding a house in the mountains
Let's see. It was February when I last updated. Let me tell you that Facebook and my other blog and Flickr have just about taken over my life. I am thinking about when we get our house in the North Carolina mountains, that I might just dis-connect from online life totally. Once I get my baby chicks up and laying eggs. And start weeding my two acres. There won't be much time for laptop addiction. And I am just about burnt out from Facebook. I hate it. And I hate that my retired husband is now addicted to it. He who used to tell me I was addicted to the internet. Is not, "addicted to the internet". On the health update. I just had my two year checkup with my radiologist and he said, " I think, since it has been two years, you are out of the woods." Whatever that means. So, I just try to live each day to the fullest that I am granted and try to forget about that year of my life. Right now we are in Franklin North Carolina. And I have found the second home I would like to own. The first house was in Murphy North Carolina. It was a 1935 historical farmhouse. But my dear, sweet, husband was dragging his feet, saying, lets look at everything there is to see first. And then when he went to put an offer on my beloved farmhouse, it already had a contract on it. I can't tell you how much I cried, and did not talk to him for one entire evening. So, here we are in the mountains of Franklin and I have found, if not an old farmhouse. A house with a view that I could love for the rest of my life. And a house that my kids might like to inherit. What they said about the old farmhouse was not nice. Things, like, are you crazy, insane. They were not fond of the 1935 farmhouse. So, my husband has agreed to make an offer on this house right away. (learned his lesson, didn't he) I will post a few pictures of it. I can have chickens. Not posting much. Don't want to jinx it. Not posting outside. Don't want someone to figure out where it is and steel it. Later. Our dog Tiny is doing so well traveling. I think he is part gypsy.

I will miss you very much if you disappear completely! But maybe we could keep in touch by other means, maybe good old fashioned letters/postcards :) Really glad you had good news about your health. Being "out of the woods" is a relief, I take that to mean you're out of the danger zone. Do you hear that phrase over there very much? I noticed when I lived in Canada that they don't use phrases much at all whereas the UK seems to have a phrase for everything and I spent a lot of time explaining what I meant! LOL! That second house looks amazing. Everything happens for a reason, I believe, so perhaps you didn't get that first house because you were destined to get this one and spend the rest of your life looking at that amazing view :)

Don't Worry.

I doubt either of us will be able to stop our internet addiction. Though I would like to. I think I could get so much more done and have more healthy hobbies if I stayed off my laptop. We did get the house in Franklin. Maybe you and Curtis could visit sometime. We are going to close off that horrid dining room. (and i just noticed they have wainscotting or whatever you call that going around the walls) So even turning the room into a bedroom it might look funny. But we dearly need a second bedroom. In the video they show the room they are calling a second bedroom being used for an office. It is a very small room. Maybe it could be a baby nursery or office but not a main bedroom. We have had a realtor come out to our homes and take pictures. Now our mobile home is on Zillow. lol. I will never buy another mobile home again. They just are not insulated very well. Cold in winter, hot in summer. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/215-Wilson-Dr-Interlachen-FL-32148/47457696_zpid/ Look at 6th photo. At back door I have put Ralphs buried horrible messy desk. I have told him it is going on the burn pile and is not coming with us to the new house. We also have my Mother's home for sale at http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/416-Evans-Ave-Interlachen-FL-32148/47457694_zpid/#%7Bscid=hdp-site-map-bubble-address%7D You can actually see my daughter lying on the divan or sofa in the photograph of the living room. She is packing and has boxes all over the house as they are moving to Palatka closer to her work place now that her daughter has graduated high school.

Oh I know what you mean, I could probably accomplish so much - but I would really miss my online haunts and my online friends! That's brilliant news about the house, I'm so happy for you guys! We would love to come visit :) We really must see you again. Good for you for taking a stand against Ralph's desk! LOL! That made me laugh. I wonder if he'll attempt to recreate it at the new place. You should be on guard for that ;)

OMG!! Rachel He cleaned out and cleaned out that awful desk and he tried again to get me to let him keep it. NO NO NO So now he is putting it in the yard sale for 25.00 No one is going to pay 25.00 dollars for that nicked up, fiberboard desk. That means, he will try to take it with us. Argggh. I so do want you guys to visit. You will love my view of the mountains. all we need is to get our water supply reliable.
